Scuba

This is what we really like to do!

We ( Lisa and I) started diving with PADI in 1989 and have nearly 800 dives under our belt, most with Peter Hughes Diving on their amazing liveaboards. I enjoy underwater photography and Lisa has uses a digital video setup. She got the Canon Optura in with a more compact housing from Amphibico

I have just purchased a Nikon D100 digital in a SubAl housing with an Inon Z-220 strobe with laser guided aiming and 10 step guide number controller from my friends at Marine Camera Distributors on San Diego. I shoot mostly fish portraits and macro with a Nikkor AF 105 mm micro.

The Subal was purchased by my good friend, Mike Nelson, who runs Caymans premier UW photo biz Bone Dry Photo

Underwater Photos

Some of my first scans. The anemone shrimp is from Curaçao  with the 105 mm. I was diving with Peter Hughes Princess Divers. The barracuda is from Cayman, diving with Martin Sutton of Fisheye Photographic with a 24 mm AF Nikkor. The clownfish was taken by Lisa in Fiji (Beqa Lagoon) with a Nikonos close-up kit!
