Most of my video equipment and all of the associated audio purchase from my friends at Worldwide Stereo. My second setup (the Hitachi panel) is tuned with a Home Theater PC (HTPC) from Cellar Cinemas as well as the Comcast DVR. It uses a PC tuner card, the HiPix DTV-200. Its software has been made open source and is spectacular, allowing on screen display of signal strength, D-VHS deck integration and screen captures. Examples below: The third set (Sony) uses the HD Tivo (HR10-250). It has 2 ATSC and 2 HD sat tuners and the ability to record 2 programs and watch a third. It has 30 hours capacity I waited 5 months for it but well worth the wait. The fourth set and 5th sets (Viewsonic and Olevia) are tuned for network HD delivered via QAM over Comcast cable. I am currently using 3 Motorola DCT6412 DVRs. Though not quite the picture quality of a 1080i or 720p signal, HD sets do a great job with DVDs. Begun to build my collection of movies. |
