I have seen very little of the country
even after multiple trips since 1991 on business. The Sydney area is beautiful with some of the most
beautiful waterfront (Harbor and ocean) you've ever seen. The historical Rocks district is a great place to eat and drink. I met some great folks my first trip in 1991 where I stayed (the Sheraton Wentworth). Her name is Leah Steele. We've kept in touch by mail for years and then she finds one my e-mail address. Since my trip, she's married a great guy, Tim and they have a little girl, Holly! Well we start corresponding by e-mail, then IRC chat and before long she's got my entire trip booked to NSW! We returned in October 1996 and stayed at Manly beach for a few days then proceeded up to the Hunter Valley for some wine tasting. Here we be combined two of our loves (Australia and wine). We stayed at Peppers Guest House, one of the most beautiful places on Earth with award winning food. Then we proceeded to Fiji to pursue a third (scuba diving). We lastly returned during the Olympics in 2000, but only to pass through to go diving and Highland exploring in Papua New Guinea. Just recently, I found a great cellaring program written by an Aussie, Brian. See more on my wine page. |
